The global solar source exceeded the historical margin of installed power by reaching the 1 terawatt (1TW) mark, proving the positive outlook for solar energy in the world and its sustainable energy transition.

At the speed of growth in which the sector finds itself, the projections of photovoltaic solar energy reaching 2 TW is less than four years, and Brazil tends to remain in prominence considering the sum of photovoltaic plants with distributed generation in the country.

A study launched in May/22 in Munich, Germany, the "Global Market Outlook for Solar Power 2022-2026", confirms this Brazilian highlight in the sector, as it highlights in its market report data that incites our reach in solar energy capacity of 54 gigawatts (GW) by 2026.

Presented during the largest trade fair and conference of the European solar sector, Intersolar Europe, the study was coordinated by SolarPower Europe and had the participation and co-authorship of the Brazilian Photovoltaic Solar Energy Association (ABSOLAR).

CGC Energia is a regional leader in solar energy harvesting, with plants in the states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais, actively contributing to the country's growth as a producer of clean, renewable energy.

With 38 photovoltaic plants in operation and 11 more under construction, the group has been developing a portfolio of projects to meet market growth in the coming years.
