CGC Energia uses the Distributed Generation system in its projects, which are 100% developed, licensed, designed, built, and contracted vertically and independently.

DG (Distributed Generation) is all the energy generated and connected directly to an energy distribution system, such as CPFL, CEMIG, and ELEKTRO. This energy generation can occur either in the same place of consumption, be it a house, company, industry, or remotely, as in the case of solar plants. The standard is valid only for renewable energy sources.

Within this scenario, through DG, is what happens the Electricity Compensation System, an innovation of the regulatory standard made by ANEEL (National Agency of Electric Energy) in 2012, which enables the energy generated in the plants to be transformed into energy credits. And, it is through the sale of these energy credits that the savings for customers and monthly dividends for investors are generated.

According to data published in an article by Absolar, in these ten years of existence, the photovoltaic solar energy modality has already been able to generate more than 470 , 000 jobs and has attracted more than R$86.2 billion in new investments.

Considered a trend worldwide, the use of renewable energy sources is becoming an increasingly present reality.

Within this scenario, Brazil benefits directly, especially in relation to photovoltaic solar energy, due to the wide incidence of solar rays for being a tropical country. This makes this sector highly interesting for investors.
