Investments in solar energy reach over R$61.6 billion

The increasing financial power of the energy sector, increasingly consistent in the country, has drawn the attention of Brazilian investors.

According to data published by the portal Canal Solar, the sum of capital invested in the market has already reached the amount of over BRL 61.6 billion in less than 10 years, reflecting the installed capacity of 13 GW in Brazilian lands.

Even with the moves on the rise, the trend for the sector is for continued growth: according to a survey carried out by Logcomex, an automation and big data startup, Brazil imported about US$2 billion in solar panels during 2021 for investments in sustainable energy, also contributing to the prevention of blackouts.

An example of this increase is the implementation capacity of CGC itself, which is already planning the construction of its 40th power plant.

With 380MW of energy power under development, 80MW of which in distributed generation and 300MW in centralised generation, the company has become a reference in investments in photovoltaic plants in the states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais, through the sale of quotas of participation with payment of monthly dividends.
