Solar energy sector attracted more than R$ 31.5 billion in investments in 2022

There are countless reasons why the photovoltaic energy sector is in constant evolution, especially in Brazil, becoming more and more a viable and efficient option to supply part of the country's energy demand.

The fact that Brazil is an equatorial country and receives the greatest amount of solar irradiation in the world is one of these reasons. Being located near the equator, Brazil receives a high incidence of sunshine throughout the day, with little variation throughout the seasons.

Another important point for this process to be in evidence is the need for an alternative to the use of electricity, which is becoming increasingly unviable and problematic. According to data from CNN, Brazil experienced in 2021 the worst water crisis in more than 90 years, which resulted in another crisis, the energy crisis.

Given this reality, with the shortage of rain, which worsens the water crisis and leads to more expensive electricity bills and, consequently, consumer goods and services, there is also an increase in inflation and a worsening of the economic crisis, in addition to the risk of a blackout.

In constant rise, it is within this scenario that solar energy has been standing out, moving almost R$100 billion in business since 2012, according to data from ABSOLAR.
